i have a Henacious black and white butterfly fish in q/t

it is in a 25 gallon tank with an external filter with bio balls and filter wool.

amonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
ph 8.2

the fish has been it there for 3 weeks and is doing fine eating well. and looking great.

only thing is he has a single white spot on his tail it is bigger than ich and had not dropped of in the 3 weeks.

i am sure it is not ich but don't know what else it could be.

i am looking into lymphositis.

does anyone else have any suggestions for what to read up on.

i am trying to get a picture but he is not for posing and i am having camera problems.

Hey Andrew,

Hows the weather, nice pics by the way of scotland.

is it big like a parasitic copepod?

weather is ok now wish i had held on to the works camera now all my memory cards are sho.

no it is to small for that maybe ony twice the size of ich.

it really does not seem to affect the fish just don't want to transfer something to the display.

might try getting a magnifing glass onto it.

actually i think it is probably a very very mild case of lymphocystis.

i will treat for secondary infection and step up my water changes i think.
