White spot on side of Bicolor Angel

I have a bicolor angel in a 10g QT by himself. This is day 8 of TTM and he just developed this white spot on the side of his body. What is it and how do I treat it? He is a little more skittish than usual and not eating as much as usual. I think the small white dots in the second picture are salt crystals in the water (they are not on him).

Does anyone know what this is or how to treat it?

Is there anything in the qt that he could have given himself an abrasion? It could be the beginning of a bacterial infection but it's too early to tell. Keep an eye on it. If it becomes bigger or looks ulcerated then post another pic.

Just pvc pipes, heater and air stone. He is eating better. It doesn't seem to be getting bigger. I guess I'll just keep an eye out.
