white spots on glass

i have just noticed little white spots on the glass. they are about the size of a pin head. they are in clusters of around 3 to 5 and there are about 2 dozen. anyone have an idea about what they might be and are they harmful to the tank. i tried to take pics but the camera focuses on the stuff in the tank and not the spots.

I have this same thing and now some of my fish are dieing. I do not know if it is the cause.

my guess are the dots on the glass are just pods which are harmless.

kgerbus i would be looking at other causes. what are your water parameters?

Water is good. I even went to lfs to double check.Lfs thinks the problem is either a parasite or a bacterial infection.I do not know how to tell the the difference in the fish as there is no visible sign of trouble on the fish. Just lethargic and low appetite.
