White spots on Zoas

Hey guys, my zoas seem to stay open all day and close at night. Well seeing them close tonight I noticed white spots on them. I thought it may have been sand but these ones didn't come off when i used the baster on them. Anyone know what this could be?

White spots on Zoas

Zoa pox. You can treat it with Furan 2, keep your water clean and don't move them around too much.

Iodine and furan helps. Do not treat the tank with furan, you gotta pull the colony out and dip it isolated.

+1 what was said above. I would do it sooner rather than later as it seems you caught it fairly early. I had a frag I bought once, didnt know what it was and let it sit, by then it was easier just to through it away rather than attempt to treat.

Thanks, I actually think I have taken care of it by doing Furan dips. I plan on posting the day by day pictures of progress once it's completely gone to show others for reference. It's incredible how great it worked.

Alright, so I wanted to post my results. I used about 3/4 packet of Furan in a cup of tank water for 15 minutes every 24 hours, 3 times. I used the baster every so often to swish the water around. Here are the results:

Day 3:

I can't find the picture of day 3

And here they are happy:
