Hello all,
Here is another white spot thread, but I think my case is somewhat different. I have had my tank up for 7 months, nothing new added in 6 weeks...and ALL fish have spent 3 weeks in QT prior to moving to DT. Inhabitants are 2 false percs, a six line, and a longnose butterfly. I went out of town for 48 hours, and I came back to a butterfly covered in white spots. He was still eating as voraciously as ever at this time. Fast forward 12 hours later, and he is totally clean. This was on Monday, so he has been clean all week eating like a pig. No other fish had any spots. I have been soaking food in garlic since Monday as well. If this were ich, wouldn't I have seen another outbreak? I know butterflies need to be fed regularly, but I didn't think 48 hours would stress him out to succumb to ich. Any info or knowledge would be great!
