White strings from A. humilis

I have had a frag of A. humilis doing very well for three months now. It has colored up and grown very well. Yesterday, it started to put out white strings similar in appearance to the "guts" of mushrooms or LPS corals. Any idea what can cause this? Here are my parameters:

Nitrate: 10 ( has been higher the entire time I have had the frag)
calcium: 460
Mag: 1400
Alk: 9
pH: 8.02
Phosphate: .02 (has been much higher when frag was still doing well, >.35)

I am confused as to why it would do this. The rest of the coral still looks good with excellent polyp extension.

possibly do that when something went in the tank- food epoxy glue, most sps do it when food or something changes like they get a different flow or something. what did you do lately?

Nothing at all. My tank is very settled and I try to keep my hands out. I used epoxy on the tank 2 weeks ago. If it was going to have an effect, I figured it would have already done so.
