White stringy coming from acro

Sorry, I couldn't think of a better description. Walking out the door to work this morning I noticed there was some type of a white stringy thing(almost looked like spider silk) coming out of the one acro I currently have in the tank. Tested water last night, the parameters have not changed in the last 3 weeks, no temp swings, no lighting changes, nothing has been added to the tank since I added it and a favia 3 weeks ago. It has shown small growth in the time frame and the polyps are constantly open all over it. I know pictures are worth a million words here but I was already running late to work, and plus the lights dont come on for a few hours after I leave, just the night leds were on.

Think the stringy things might be mesenterial threads/filaments. As to why this is happening i cant help you.
Sometimes it is stress related and sometimes due to hostility, I have also heard some say that it can be a feeding response.

it's eating. Some of my acros have filaments that I have always seen soon after I feed, my bnests seem to get white fuzzies when they feed. Take a pic and post it later.

+1 on mesenterial threads/filaments, IME it's been more related to stress and defense but some people claim it's a feeding response.

I really dont think its feeding...this is much much longer than the pics I found, and in previous tanks when I did see my SPS feeding it didn't look like this, I will def get a pic and post it once I get home.

Look up mesenterial threads/filaments, there's debate over whether it's a defense response or a feeding response. Personally I think it's always been defense or stress from what I've seen.

I've seen threads in my tank that are around 2-3 inches, what are yours at? Could also be slime threads, my slimer corals do release long thread-like goo.

Mine seem to do this monthly. It was a full moon and it's still pretty big. I do simulate full moons in my tanks with lunars on all night 2d before and after the full moon. It was sunday. and I'm seeing it on most all my sps.

Mine often spawn a day or two after the full night cycles too.
