White stringy poop

Hello
My semifaciatus angel(male) just pooped a large white stringy material. I am not sure if this is an internal parasite. The fish is eating and does not look ill. I am wondering if I should dose prazipro in my reef. Or if I should just observe.

Obvious concern is parasite overwhelms fish, if I wait.I understand prazipro is reef safe.

Has anyone ever dosed prazipro and kept the UV on. I heard a reefer say he used prazipro and had his uv off for seven days. He believes this led to a ICH outbreak in his DT.

Can I dose prazipro with UV on?

I understand prazipro is reef safe.

This statement is NOT entirely correct. Prazi will harm inverts (ie shrimp/crabs). I would hesitate to use in my display if any of those are present.

If the fish still has a healthy appetite and is eating. Try soaking their food with garlic extreme or similar products. This has natural a natural appetite boosting effect (which will keep their appetite up), as well as, being a natural parasite fighter( I have heard effects the PH of the host and makes it undesirable to the parasites). Also slightly raising water temp raises fish metabolism and helps fight internal parasites.

:debi:Uv must be off. Prozi is reef safe other than with tube worms. Why would you be worried about an ich outbreak? Did you not quarantine all your livestock to prevent ich from entering your system?:debi:
