White Stuff Around Zoos

I have this white stuff around the bottoms of one of my zoo frags. It is kinda cottony looking. The zoos don't seem to be affected as they open fully during the day and look very healthy. I've tried to get a picture but they haven't come out really well. Any ideas of what it might be?

Pictures would definately help, is it soft? I had a few of them on a rock i got from my LFS, I just put it in a seperate container of salt water and pried them off... They seem harmless...

I have no idea.... here are some more pics from my thread. I'll probably close it and stick to this one.

come back. Instead this crap has been now covering them. What is it? And you guys think these guys are gonners? I tweeze this stuff off daily and it just comes right back in a day or two.

Oh and I might as well ask for another ID while this is open. The second set of pics is a similar looking thing which is growing on the other side of the tank. Pull it out or let it be?

The stuff is nasty looking but it doesn't seem to be affecting my zoos. They open up as much as the other frags that don't have this junk. I just don't want it to spread all over the place.

If it is a sponge is it bad? Is there anyway to get rid of it or should I just leave it alone?

Yeah it's a sponge just rub it off. I had some growing on one of my zoa's. It ended up cover the whole colony and my zoa's were closing up but after i got rid of the sponge the zoa's were back to normal.

I tweeze some off but it seems its back in the next day or two.
