Fish Mother
This comes and goes and only on this male clown. I have a mated pair, hosted by a nem. About once a month the male gets a spot, but the day before he breathes quicker than usual. He eats and behaves normally otherwise. I feed garlic soaked food and the next day it has receded. The next day after that it is barely noticeable and by the third day it is gone. This has happened three times before. He was breathing quickly the day before yesterday, by the evening he was back to normal and today he has this white protrusion similar to before and another that looks like like a thread that is barely noticeable near his tail fin (not in pic). There has been a disturbance in the tank as I am removing live rock and placing it in the new tank. However I am frequently cleaning rocks etc so they are used to me in the tank and they eat from my hand. I have had these cleans for about 7 months now. What is this and what do I do? I have Prazipro and other similar medicines. I will be moving everything from the tank by the weekend and leaving this one for a quarantine as I hope to add more fish to the new tank. I can treat him in this tank but taking him away from his mate and his nem will stress him further. Not sure what to do. No other inhabitants in the tank including the other clown get this. It is shaped like a C. Does not look like ich.
