Whitespot on Clown - Not Ich?

Hey Guys,

So I picked up these 2x clowns (first fish ever) for my 55g tank which has been fully cycled with dry rock, and live sand. The little guy has this white spot near his tail:

Now it's brought to my attention it's most likely not ich. Being the rookie I am, I took a LFS employees advice, and treated my DT with 'Mardel Quick Cure'

I did a 3x day treatment, then did a 25% water change & replaced the carbon filters.
I got in contact with Fritz who told me that the Mal. Green can introduce copper into the tank, so that is why I did not continue to dose more treatments.

It's difficult to tell if the white spot is reducing, but should I move both fish into a QT tank & run my current DT fallow? Or could this be a 'birthmark' type of thing, and just leave them in the DT since he appears to act normal.

Prior to treating with quick cure, I did a treatment of baths (2 baths, 1 with each packet) with Safety Stop - Rapid fish Quarantine: http://melevsreef.com/node/1418

The little guy was NOT doing good during the baths. Rose to the top, was on his side at the surface, fatigue, rapid breathing, etc. In my tank, he does wonderful

I was initially going to grab a blue tank and have that QT - thinking that my clowns are ok, but now I'm a bit lost on what my next course of action should be.

Any input from clown owners out there who have seen this big white spot before?

Cheers!

Dang, sorry saw that I can't edit.

'I was gong to initially grab a blue tang**', not tank.

Hard to tell, but it almost looks like a wound that may be healing. Looking at the pictures, I don't see anything that would alarm me at this moment. Is it showing any other symptoms like scratching/flashing against objects or twitching of the head/body. How is the eating behavior?
