Who can eat SPS?

Just noticed that some super-cool sps that I got from Mike are getting trimmed!

One lost about 1/2 of inch overnight!

Who can do this???

there are thousands of animal species capable of eating coral. narrowing down the suspects to what lives in your tank would be a good starting point

this happens during the night. and this just start happens a week ago. i did not introduce anyone to the tank anything except Mike frags for months.

also two of small frags left unglued at the bottom just disappear.

no they are just trimmed. the rtn will left the skeleton.

Flatworms or some other invert could be responsible. Do you have live rock or dry rock?

Yes I have live rocks. And I have small six line wrasse. I got sps frags from Mike about 2 months ago. And nobody touched them. And this is started weeks or two ago. I just noticed white flesh spots that looks like rtn but later i figure out that are pieces of corals are missing. From small to big about 1/4 inch

Do you have any emerald crabs? I know I had one that can pull a chunk off my sps

no, i've only hitchikers crabs. But did not introduce anything like crabs.

Sounds like it could be a rogue crab. Happened in my tank. Mysterious coral deaths and disappearances. Found that beady red-eyed devil hiding out in a piece of live rock that sounded like a maraca when shaken, due to all the coral skeletons and empty snail shells in its lair. What you need is a crabsorcism!

I have pair of clown fishes, blue chromis and gramma

I hardly can imagine clown fish eating the coral

Well this is what I am thinking about. Do you think have I any chances to catch it with crab trap?

You would be surprise how territorial clown fish could be. I have see. Marroon clowns rearrange the sand and rocks. They don't have to eat the acros but they can break the tips, it's likely that it is a crab but I wouldn't discard the fish!
