who can fix a pump?

Got my new impeller for my mag 24 today. The impeller does not seem to be the problem. It is still getting caught on something. I looked inside the pump shaft and it looks like the black substance (o-ring or something) on the bottom might be damaged. It doesn't seem to be higher than the white part on the bottom but I can't actually get my finger down that low to feel it for sure. I am wondering if there is anyway to replace this. Anyone know of someone I could take this pump to to see if they can fix it. Here is a pic of what I am talking about, do you think it might be the problem?

i would try to find some else close that has the same pump (you could trouble shot the problem

or just buy a new pump


be carefull i wouldnt put the screws back in the water unless you want algea to grow

Notice the rust? Two of the screws are most likely not the original screws. Iron dosing can help algae grow and not a good thing to have rusting screws in your tank.

DANG! and to think all this time Chad has been instructing me to add iron screws to my tank!

I bought it used. I took a lot of time yesterday scraping the inside of the pump with a screwdriver cause it had some rough "something" caked on it and i think the problem is fixed, guess that stuff was causing it to catch up. Plan on hooking it up to the tank this evening. Hope it works.

Per the sticker on the bottom of the pump it is only 2 years old, anyone have the information for seeing if i can get a replacement.
It works only after banging it hard on the floor, the problem is I can't do that when in the actually sump since the tubing that it connects to is not long enough to reach to the floor and obviously can't bang it on the glass. Anytime I turn the electric off to it, it has to be banged hard to getit to start again.

went to remove the impeller this morning to see if I could find out somehting else wrong with it. The white piece of impeller on the bottom broke off inside the magnet, guess I need a new one for sure know.

pretty much, I tried everythign else and nothing worked except for that, there is a chip in both impeller on the white section that goes into the pump, i say soemthing is making this piece chip which is causing it to get stuck
