I haven't in the past, but when I get the nano lagoon going I'll be dosing iron because of the flowerpots...

No, I don't dose, yet. Got the link from Randy Holmes-Farley in ref to officespace's problems with hair algae.

Too bad you can't just throw a small piece of iron in the sump. Even if you could, you'd have to know there weren't any other metals present (nickel, zinc, chromium).

Where the heck do you get such a small amount of ferrous sulfate heptahydrate and sodium citrate dihydrate?

I see that macroalgae is necessary when using iron to control hair algae.
