Who had the lavendar leather at the swap?

Does anyone know the person who had the purple leathers for sale? Their table was right behind mine and right across from Zach and his dad.

Anyway I bought a purple/lavendar leather frag from them, spaghett, I think, and it detached from it's disk, and I have no idea where it floated to. I looked everywhere!

I'd like to see if I could get another one, if the person is around.

Thanks!
Vickie

it's sounds like you got a colt coral if that's what your looking for it pretty common. i have a pink spaghitti leather if your interested, and as a matter of fact i just fragged it today as part of my son's end of year project he did it on coral propagation.
bye the way fizz that's for the extra "visual display" i had to tell the teachers that rorbert had nothing to do with that one,and that it belonged to the club.

I found it! It was buried deep in my rock where my brittle star lives. I could see it but I couldn't reach it. He must have loosened it enough to blow around again, and last night it was in plain sight! It's mounted back to its original plug, and not very happy right now!

Sure thing! Right now, it's still quite pi$$ed off, and gray. From what I saw of it, it's definitetly in the light gray/lavendar family than it is in the peach/brown. I'll post pix once it gets some polyps back.

Ah, that's my coral...

Ah, that's my coral...

My wife and I offered those frags. I'm glad you found it in your tank. Finger leather is like an unruly teenager - it likes to run away from home. I've had some detach from plugs after having been securely attached for weeks. I usually glue them and tie them down with clear nylon monofilament thread or fishing line.

The mother coral is moderate size right now and grows at a healthy pace. I have some substantial size frags from it and plan to grow them out for a while.

It certainly is lavender and not pink...

Are those blastos ready for me yet Vickie, LOL? The pink millie is doing really great in my tank. The brown acro you swapped me is already changing colors! It seems like it is getting darker. Maybe a purple or deep blue, still not sure, but it is changing. How is the crocea doing? I hope he is much happier at your place with more water to gulp up and filter. LMK

thanks

Rick

P.S. That darn tricolor is awesome. Great flouresce but that thing is just like in your tank yet, no polyps. I will teach it, LOL

The crocea is beautiful! It gapped for few days, but now it's healthy as can be! It's not even skittish like you predicted. I think it likes having a friend in the tank :) I'm glad your frags are doing well! I'm anxious to see what color that acro turns. It was blue-tipped when I got it.

lflint, I'm looking forward to it growing! I don't have anything this color! What type of lights do you have it under?

I originally grew the coral out in a 65 gallon with 2x96W PC (one 10,000K and one actinic). I have many frags in a 90 gallon with eight T5s (4 10,000 K and 4 actinic).

Ok, thanks. It's not doing so great right now. I wonder if I have it in a bad place. I will move it back down to the sand. Does it like a lot of flow?

Moderate flow

Moderate flow

I've kept it in low to moderate flow with good results. It will get beat up if you have a powerhead or outlet hit it directly.
