Does the club still have the PAR meter? I need to use it to measure the PAR from my LEDs. Thanks.

I have it right now. You're welcome to it. If I could get it back when your done that would be great, as I am increasing my LED par every week and trying to keep track of my numbers in a journal as I am increasing them, and need the meter to see where I am at each week. But let me know when you want to get it. You are a member of the club right? Sorry, I have a hard time keeping up with peoples names with RC user names.....

Meter

I had been waiting to hear back from Marty on its whereabouts.....I would like to have it after you Nam2212. Any way I can get it this weekend? I just got my tank in yesterday and need to figure out some lighting options before I proceed.

I am a member of the club. I can come get it this week. I will get it to Rudolph when I am finished.

Put me down as 3rd on the list. This new nano light I bought is frying every coral I put in this tank. I need to see where they stand so I can adjust them correctly.

Same here. Everything I put in my tank under the LEDs gets fried except for my torch and zoas.

Sounds like you guys need to dial back your intensities. For the first month that i had my LEDs I was running them at 30% for 3-4 hours and 10-25% for a few more hours. I slowly went up to 40 then 50 and now am at 60% after 2-3 months. All my coral look great. I still only run the 60% for 3 hours, and around 45 for 4 more hours, then actinic light the other hours. I hope to get up to higher numbers over the next few months. I think with LEDs you have to start low and go slow. If you start out too high you can bleach or cook them. The par meter should help with that. I have been using it every week since I started my tank. I wish that I could find a good deal on one for my own, but they are around $300 I think. One plus of LEDs is that my water temp doesn't change one iota while the lights are on. I stay at 77.8* all day every day. Rock solid. PM me your name and number (nam1221) and ill get you my info so you can get it.

I have been running mine at 100% since the day I set up the tank. I started noticing last week that my chalices were losing color and receding a little. Some of my acans were also really looking bad. All zoas were great though. I noticed that the only things that looked great were all shaded. I cut them back to about 65% and things started opening more in the last 2 days. I will send a PM.

I run MaxSpect LEDs on Lisa's tank and a blueline LED on my 92 gallon. I ramp Lisa's from 10% in the morning up to 80% at midday and then back down for the evening. Mine are not controllable but I only run them about 6 hours per day over my SPS. They are loving the LEDs.

Any updates on the traveling PAR meter? Jay, did nan2212 pick it up? If so, nan2212 (sorry, I don't have my name decoder with me) when will you be ready to pass it along? Jabo, I know you are up next after me.

I will be picking it up this weekend. I should only need it for a day or 2.

Okay. Let me know if that changes as I would have picked it up this last weekend and gotten my testing out of the way if I had known you weren't going to use it until this weekend as Jay lives less than 10 minutes from my house.

I will just plan on picking it up the next weekend if that is okay with you? I know the next weekend is a holiday weekend and if you are going out of town (and you are finished with it) I would be happy to pick it up during the week if needed. Thanks.

Okay Nick.

Jay P if you want it back in the interium I can drop it off and Nick can just get if from you.......I know you had a daily measuring deal going.......otherwise, I will just hold it for Nick.
