Who here has the biggest ulta acan colony?

I want to see one of these Ultra Acan colonies like Rainbow, etc in a dinner plate sized colony? Anyone?

my largest is a baseball size and its just brick red with blue markings no rainbows.

I love acans and I would also love to see some big acan colonies. I have 3 small colonies with about 4-6 heads a piece

I cant get mine to spread, They grow small heads underneath the main colony rather quickly after I get them, then they just sit there, the small heads never get any larger, it never encrusts anymore around the rock/sand that they sit on, they just sit there and do nothing else... any tricks to placement that will help them spread out more?

Mines the same way! I have 1 with 3 tiny heads around the base of the frag and they've been like that for awhile. I heard they were pretty good growers so I'm wondering why too.

I'd say all acans grow very slow. Otherwise we'd see more maricultured acans

My acans grow new heads fairly quickly but I hear it takes long for them to grow new skeleton to go along with the new heads...

The bottom ones I got as frags like you see next to them. I feed pellets, Rods food and Mysis.

yea i feed pellets and Rods too. The only bad thing is I have a cleaner shrimp that loves eating out of my corals mouths haha. I'm going to trade my cleaner shrimp for some snails or hermits this week though to get rid of that problem.
