Who here has the biggest ulta acan colony?

I have found that in order to get the frag colony to spread, it works much better to get them off of the frag plug and put them on something larger (rock or piece of travertine) then they seem to spread more. I don't have any that are that large - but one of mine that I placed on a flat rock surface has spread to fist size.

If you use travertine, you really need to make sure it hasn't been treated in any way and that you cure it in salt water like you would LR. Just my opinion, but I am always very cautious when it comes to trying new things in the tank because I take my time finding corals and don't want to kill one for a simple mistake.
