Who uses reef chilli?

I just bought some reef chilli cause I'd seen some good reviews and I was curious who all on RC uses this product. How do you like it? What exactly do you feed it to and how often? Have you seen an improvement or growth rate from your corals since starting it?

I will be feeding zoas, a hammer, torch, Kenya tree and Pom Pom Xenia do you think this will do anything for my corals?

I use it, but I don't direct feed my corals.. While thawing out the cube of mysis to feed my tank I toss in 2 scoops of the chilli in the little tuperware bowl with the shrimp.. After the mysis thaws I dump the chilli/mysis combo in my tank..

Now I have a 90g system so by the directions it's 1 level scoop per 20 gallons so I'm not overfeeding.. But the way I do it allows my fish to chase down some of the pieces to nibble on as well as my corals..

I use it but I can't get you have history. I had my tank for about a month now. I brought it off another reefer and I have alot of corals. Seeing alot of growth from his frags but I have nothing to compare it to. He did say that he had some of the corals for a alittle while but that he didn't feed them.

Everything is growing and now has multiple heads; acans and zoas mostly. I have a duncan but he was getting thrown around but hermit crabs but he was doing real good before that. Of course, the duncan ate more of the mysis shrimp and didn't really see much reaction to chilli. Also, I use oysterfeast.

FYI, I feed mysis and oysterfeast every 2 days or so then randomly do chilli if I'm around at night when all the ploys are out.

I use it too. not sure if it has improved growth or anything but the fish go nuts for it and the corals extend their polyps. I think with your current corals though, you might be better off with something like cyclopeeze. The reef chili wont hurt though (in moderation)

I also add it to my container when im thawing mysis or cyclopeeze, mix it all up, and then pour it in front of a powerhead that aims down and to the middle of my tank. I do a little at a time. Normally i do a pretty small bit at first, it seems to let the corals know there is something there and they extend, then i add the rest of the mixture over another 2 or 3 times. I kinda wait until there isnt much floating around anymore before adding more.

BRS sells the bottles to feed the reef chilli, Will it hurt to just mix some tank water with it then directly feed the corals I have?

You can use thier bottle but I find a large syringe lets me feed it slower. The bottle shoots it out like a little jet stream and my corals close before they feed. Sometimes I mix it with just tank water and sometimes I add some to my mysis.

I target feed my duncans, acans, and torch with it.

Your xenia and kenya tree will not eat this stuff. Same for most zoanthids. Most zoanthids will not eat this, they might close up looking like they are eating, but they are probably just irritated from having stuff blown on them. Some larger zoanthids and palythoas will eat it.

your hammer and torch will eat it just fine.

Agree with the BRS supplied bottle.

I prefer a turkey baster which i find easier and not shooting things in their face.
