Why 400 Watt MH

Why is 400 watt MH seem to be the max for the reefer hobby?? Do they not make them any higher, or will more wattage burn corals and boil the water??

It's hard to find the correct color bulbs with GOOD quality for a 1000 watt setup.
Also unless you have a REALLY deep tank 1000W would be pretty focused and prolly burn your tank inhabitants.
