I had my tank at 420 about 5 days ago now it is at 380 and I have a CA reactor ??? my KH is at 9-10 and my ph is at 8.0 so what is going on. I have lost one coral and half of another what is going on in my tank. HELP !!!

same...the CA drop most likely didnt cause.....what coral did u lose...acro? monti? i have the feeling you are looking at an ALK or ph swing.....did you change anything at ALL in the system around this time?

did you do a large WC in the past week?

you are saying that your CA was falling 9 ppm per day? does this sound typical? what is your normal depletion rate? did an auto top off or CAreactor get turned off via power outage?

think hard...sounds like a sudden swing...consider Salinity and temp too!!

I did a water change last week no change in salt, temp, salinity or alk and I don't know what is going on all the rest of my corals are doing fine the reactor did not turn off. I have been dosing CA to increases my CA but doing it slow so that I don't shock the tank but I have been doing this every day that is the only way that I can do it. I have a lot of sps coral and vary large clams in my tank 11 of them and a 15 inch gigas, a 12 inch squamosa and so on. could the clams go through a growth spirt ?

alk spike....pm are very sensitive.

Whenever my calc reactor gets down to about 1/2 full... I need to fill it up again, for my calc and alk start to drop...
