why do u keep for such short lifespan??

They cna live longer. If you would have one, you would quickly realize that they are like a puppy. Interactive, playful, will eat from your hand. Fish don't do that. A year is enough. Besides, if you have 2, then the female will lay eggs. They may or may not be fertile, but if they are, you can raise them into more octos.

Picture a piece of silk gliding over surfaces.
As it glides over an object it becomes that color.
You watch as she or he flashes & flickers. Just to watch its predator skills all truly amazing. The price I guess if you tried to make sense of the expenses we would do little in life.
A nice dinner out has rewards but the experience last but a night. I have had mine only a short time compared to other marine fish or inverts that I have. I can say with no regrets in the expense. Hope that helps

You wont know until you get one.
They are truely the most amazing critter you can keep.
liquid muscle. Stronger then you can even imagine
Meags (my bimac) was so strong that I had to make him let me go because i wasnt strong enough to just pull away.
he could kill crayfish 3 times his own size with out breaking a sweat and loved to play with Mcdonalds happy meal toys. he was escpcially fond of the invisible woman from the Fantatsic 4 set. he actually took that one back to his den and kept it inside.

The entire effort would be worth even an hour of watching my cuttlefish move, change shape and color. It is amazing to see and completely different from any other creature.

mine lasted only 2 months before she laid eggs and then died but givin the opprotunity i will get another one. maybe this time ill even get some eggs to hatch. granted they take up alot of space but you couldnt get the personality of one octo out of an entire tank of fish.
