Ever since I switched the live rock over from my 125 gallon to my 210 gallon reef, it has been turning green. And the green is not a coraline green. I am wondering what is causing it? I have a phosban reactor, a good skimmer, etc. My water parameters are in check, with an occasional spike in my nitrates. I have been trying to grow chaeto in my fuge too for the longest time and its not growing at all. And I am wondering once the chaeto dies and decomposes does that (the broken down nutrients from the chaeto) contribute to the green type of algae that is growing on my rock. And then I wonder that I may not have enough filtration, if I am just using my Bubble King Skimmer, becuase if my chaeto is not growing in my fuge, then what is absorbing or eating away at the nutirents that are in my tank water? So the main question is what in the #@&! is causing the green junk to grow on my live rock?
