recently i bought a rock with mushroom fully expanded at the lfs.when i bought it home and place in the tank and it only expanded little only.what can i do?are the tank current and light are too strong?

How long have you had this shroom? What kind of lighting and flow do you have? And how far underwater is the shroom placed?

It's normal for corals to stay closed for a few days when you bring'em home (new lights, new water, etc.). Sometimes it can take a couple weeks or more for them to acclimate fully and open normally, though shrooms shouldn't normally take that long.

The only thing that mushrooms generally won't tolerate is high flow. Make sure it's not being blown around when it tries to open up. Other than that they're nearly indestructible and can survive just about any lighting conditions.

i have the mushroom rock close to the strong flow.now i just move to a lower area with less flow.wait and see if any different.
