Hi, I would appreciate if someone can help me with this. My corals are growing fast and seems to be healthy however they loose their original color. What could be the reason?.

As an example I can show this frogspawn that arrived by december 2007 small, only two heads, but with large pollips and bright colors.

Now it has grown a lot. I have fragged twice in its still more than 12 heads, but colors has gone and pollys looks smaller...

Lighting is the first thing that comes to mind. Your frogspawn looks good in both pics, but appears to have lightened up due to either more intense lighting or less actinic lighting. What lights are you running?

I run a current-usa fixture that according to their description contemplates "10,000K HQI lamp(s), SlimPaq T5HO Actinic 420nm & 460nm lamps, cooling fans, glass lens, German parabolic Powerwrap & hammertone reflectors". In my case HQI are 2x150 W and T5 are 4x24W.

get rid of current brand bulbs and get suggestions for better brand bulbs and bulb configuration and your corals will probally color back up. Everything depends on lighting i have same 2 corals in 2 different tanks and both are different colors now due to different t5 fixtures and bulbs being used.
