I've just about had it with my tank...I'm so freakin' frustrated right now I can hardly see straight.

I can't for the LIFE of me figure out what is causing my water to go cloudy. It was a little cloudy during the first part of the week, and by yesterday it was crystal clear. It was darn near crystal clear on Wednesday, but definitely yesterday.

I just walked in the door and the $*^# is cloudy again!!!!

What the heck is going on???

The only thing I did was change out a filter sock. The one that was in there was saturated with gunk, so I changed it out with one that I had washed....in the washing machine, no soap...just water. The "new" sock sat and dried for nearly two weeks.

Is this the same kind of cloudy that was happening when you were having issues with your kalk reactor/dosing?

do you have any turbos in your tank? Once and a while my turbo emit alot of white stuff out of them maybe wthats it

Yeah...it's the same trouble. I checked again last night and my Ca level is too high for the Alk level.

Alk - 9dKH
pH 8.3

If it ends up not being kalc reactor related, do you have any sand sifters like engineer gobies? Mine clouds my tank up all the time when he decides to go on an excavation.

I thought I had ready on here about how some filter socks cause tanks to be cloudy when newly changed. You may want to do some searches about that. In the mean time lottsa carbon!

Looks like your Ca is to high(saturated is ~ 500) and it is comming out of solution.
