Hey,
I have these tiny looking bugs scurrying around all over my rocks and on the back wall of my tank. They look like tiny mites and are transluscent. They move around pretty quick. There are TONS of these guys.
Any idea what they might be?
If they look like mites they're more likely to be isopods or even marine mites than copepods. It's true that the majority of species in each group that show up in tanks are harmless fish food that eat detritus or graze on microalgae but there are predatory species as well.
Thanks.
These things definitely look more like mites, so I guess isopods are the right answer. They have little legs and scurry around all over the place. They move like ants.
Thanks for the tips.
