I have a handful of acans but I have 2 acan frags that I would like to put next to each other and if they grow together that's fine. I just wanted to know if they would? Would one take over in the future or will they just grown on there own sides but merge in the middle?

I have several acans that are touching without any issues. I have noticed that a few seem to have merged.

i have two acans that have been growing next to each other for a while. as long as they are the same species, they will not fish. for example: if you place acanthastrea echinata next to acanthastrea lordhowensis, one will kill the other. mine have just created a border where they just grow in opposite directions. no violence between them at all.

Yes i work part time at an LFS and we have a huge colony of acans that are 2 different types. They have grown well together.

lol, I have yet to find something an echinata can't kill.

I have a big section of 5 different kinds that have all grown and fused together and are all one piece.
