Will my hermits float away.....????? HELP???

I've got something going on in my tank.........It started a week ago and now you see what it looks like in the pics below.

They're just little air bubbles.....The hermits will dig around and these things float up to the top and pop. These are just on one side of the tank too.....??? Is it something bad under the sand???

What is this????

I've been checking the water everyday since this started and all levels are fine? I feed once to twice a week maybe....

From what I can see from the picture, those are oxygen bubbles being produce by the algae during photosynthesis.

That sounds about right..........all it is, is air bubbles.


My tank is lookin a little ragged lately. My hermits have been feasting on my snails and I'm down to maybe 25 snails when I started out with about 80!! I'm goin tomorrow to get some more, not sure if that will help but it can't hurt!!
