Will this set up work?

This might have been discussed or asked in diffrent post but I just want to make sure of somethings.

If I buy this adapter and use this serial to usb cable and bought the full version of aqua notes, using my AC Jr with serial port would I be able to control my AC thru my pc and can I view and control my controler remotly from any other internet conected pc? Thanks for the help.

If you run Aquanotes 24/7 (the dedicated PC is always on) then I see no reason for it not to work.

If you do not want to keep the PC on at all times, you would only need a serial/ethernet adapter. You would be able to access the AquaControler from anywhere (only 1 connection at a time) as long as you install the virtual serial port driver.

I don't think that is going to work. The adapter USB wireless adapter is designed to be slave of the PC. It would have to be a 'master' type device if it was going to support serial to USB cable. It would also have to have a device driver to the serial to usb cable, and virtual serial port software on the PC side.
