I need to figure out a blue print for an Iron or stainless steel stand for my welder to see. I really want it to look nice and hold my 360gl with not problem. Can you show me yours please. Thanks alot.
theres some pictures of mine here http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=783816
It was built with 2" square steel and all the pieces are closed and sealed to prevent any rust issues. I had it powdercoated black and plan on skinning it some day
Yes, ours is 2" tube steel, too. It is powder coated green. We did sort of an interesting design in the front with a truss. We also have two removable legs for the front, just in case. It is very sturdy and we are very happy with it. By the way our tank is 360gal as well. Check my gallary for pics.

I am in the process of building this same design, almost identical as far as the trusses go. Glad to see someone else with it and that it works. Got any pics of the removeable legs?

Thank you and what do you mean by covered with?
In the pics it looks almost like some sort of snakeskin, kinda mottled brown/black and tan,. I guess the best way to describe what I am seeing is it appears to have an almost scale like appearance
If you are talking about for the cabinetry - Do a search on jacas34 and look in his gallery. I believe this is what you're looking for. He can probably tell you more. He and I have talked forever about the horrid looking stands that most Americans have to settle for. I have tried to hire cabinet builders and steel workers, it has been a real battle. I didn't even really have a budget - but the problem is that you can find a great cabinet or steel guy who has no idea about tanks, or vice versa. Then when you finally have someone and you're committed to paying a few grand, you don't know how it will turn out.
If you are talking about a stand similar to what's pictured above, check this link. Then below is after I had it powdercoated. Make sure you get it powdercoated very well.
