wilting clam

I've had a crocea in my tank for a good 6 months and it had been doing awesome. about a week ago a powerhead fell and was blowing directly on the clam. I don't how long it was like that I assume it was around 12 hours, the clam was closed up tight. I fixed the powerhead and it opened back up with in a few minutes. Everything seemed fine. Well within the past 2 or 3 days it's mantle has started to look wilted. it still opens up and the siphon thingy(sorry I don't know the scientific name) is sticking out like nothing had changed. Will it recover? Any clues as to what might be going on? Any info would be helpful.

It should recover just fine. My clams usually look "wrinkled" for a little while after being disturbed extensively. When withdrawn into the shell, the mantle gets creased and looks "wrinkled". The longer the mantle is retracted, the longer the wrinkles will persist. Just be patient, and given proper conditions, the clam will return to normal!

On a second note, if the powerhead disturbed the sandbed (if you have one) then water parameters may not be ideal. In that case you should check water parameters.
