Woke Up and Found

Hundreds of baby shrimp swimming together in my tank. TB rock arrived 2 weeks ago and somewhere on the rock had to be eggs. I am unfortunatley heading away on business for a few days or I would monitor them more closely. I tried to take pictures but they are so small and moving so fast, it is difficult to get a clear shot even with a macro lense. I thought they were fish at first as they had eyes on each side, but with the horizontal tail it was a dead give away. My other fish have nibbled on a few of them but I am hopeful there will be some left this weekend.

It is always fun seeing new life.

Wow....that sounds pretty cool! I hope they're not mantis shrimps :-)

Man, that really would suck!

I just got home from my business trip and I have not seen any swimming around. My tangs and clowns were eating a few of them yeaterday, but since there were so many I though some of them would survive.

If baby mantis shrimps swim around, I may have just had an outbreak similar to the likes of the movie ALIEN.
