Won a watermelon mushroom--- dip?

It's not the mushroom you need to worry about, but rather the rock it's on. A dip won't hurt it so you should probably do it.

dip, everything, one of my frags looked great from the swap. I dip, see 2 flat worms float off, I seperated it from the rock and found nothing but eggs on the underside.

newbie question: any pics on the platform? are they the one looks like snails? ... but plat :D

Yeah I got one particular frag and looked like a flatworm floated off, I was half tempted to just throw the whole damn thing away, no frag is worth that potential grief, and that half won. I dont' need that crap in my tank.

Do I need to dip it?

If it's the one from aquatic bliss, it was dipped and blown off before being bagged for the swap. However, no dip is really a 100% guarantee and many pests that may be present as eggs need to hatch to be effected by dips. Short answer: dip then quarantine everything. No exceptions. Ever. HTH.
