Working with Acryilic

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am looking to put together a custom tank. Going to be 72" x 6" x 9".

Sort of a bartop pico. I need to put the basic frame together for the acrylic. I know to use the weldon in both forms. One for the initial bond and then the second thicker application for strength.

My question is:

Is there a technique for applying the acrylic to keep the seams clean. Jigs? Clamps? I am more concerned about the vertical seams since they will be exposed to the viewing side...
