I didn't post it in my Bunaken Island, Sulawesi pics thread, b/c that was supposed to be all happy. But, here is a photo of a blasted reef just around the corner from all those wonderful looking reefs in Bunaken. The guides said it had been blasted back in the mid 90s and still has not shown any signs of significant recovery:
Doesn't that just rip your heart out?
Minimize the local threats so the reefs can (hopefully) cope with the global threats.
