Worst Timing Ever...

Hello All!

I have a problem that I noticed today and could really use some advice with...

This morning I woke up to find my yellow tang with white spots running down one side near the tail fin. Initially I believed it to be ich, but i'm not 100% on that. (trying to get a picture, but the guy just doesn't wanna pose...)

I am already preparing my 10 gals that I have for TTM, but here's the real kicker... In about 1.5 months, I leave town on business till August. I have a tank sitter who is also living at the house, but asking him to do much more than basic feeding and cleaning (or calling my friend in town for anything more than that) is unfortunately out of the option.

What this means is that the fish need to be back in the DT when I leave. My plan for now is to TTM, then quarantine with cupra until the week before I leave town, then reintroduce them into the DT. I know its not enough fallow time, but i'm hoping it will get most of the bugs and hold the population down till I get home and can finish the 180 gallon setup (and then go through quarantine for anything going in there)

Any other suggestions for me? I really hate the timing here, but theres nothing to be done about it.

Tank fish stock:
1 yellow tang
1 firefish
1 Royal Grama
1 Diamond watchman

So sorry for the crappy photography.

This is the best shot I could get at him. If you look closely, you can just see the white spots near the tail. There are more, but I couldnt get the camera to focus long enough

Tell me about it. I am doing renovations at the moment, new flooring, gotta get the 125 broken down and 240 up and running, a QT tank with ich in it, Achilles that died and a potters wrasse that died in qt and I have to head out of town shortly too. Yeesh. Haven't been able to start TTM yet on the remaining fish.

My advice? Keep ur chin up.

Yes indeed!

With hours of work last night, I managed to get 3 of the fish out of the main tank, Including the tang. Now its off to TTM for them and setting fish traps for the rest... I hope they have enough time to get rid of this bug.
