since zoa pox is a microb problem would adding one of those UV sterilizer lights from the sump to the tank help in killing them? I never added one when i started my tank because i heard it wasnt necessary but now i wonder.....

I have the pox, it is passing and i have done nothing but water changes. If the trend continues i will not lose a single morph/type.

I was thinking about starting a thread to discuss pox but its been pretty beat to death already. I belive any stressor while the pox are on your zoos, increases the chance that they will die.
I left my tank get nasty thinking softies "liked dirty water" and while i agree my rics are insane, i also have a nasty case of the pox... not sure what caused what or what is fixing the problem but i did not dip or treat, i just changed water more often and general better husbandry.

well i did a furan dip and killed a bunch of stuff...needless to say i aint trying that again. But i just ordered a phosphate reactor and ill see how that helps.

fast57, I haven't heard of that, but if it works we would love to hear about it.

Great idea aquarius77, I had pox a while back and allI did was water changes and it cleared up also. Would be a great thread for you to start I think. It would make a great sticky my friend.

Fast57, what happened? Got any details to share.

Mucho

still waiting on the reactor but i think alot of what was really infected died off after the dip. There is still dome with it though.
