New to this. Would a Y or T be better for the flow to the sump?

A "Y" would be better. I dont see the need to split the pipe into the sump.

The sump has 2 holes
I might just do one and be able to put some of the return water in it if ever need be to recirculate and just stick with one going to sump

Ditto on utility of the Y. If there are 2 holes in the sump for drain pipes, then I would have 2 drains. One full siphon and one open pipe. What are you doing for an overflow?

neither, there is no reason to split your drain line like that.

If you have a second drain line, sure use the hole but all youre doing splitting it is creating a clog point.
