Would this work for a frag tank light?

I want to run a single MH pendent light for a frag tank, so my question is....would a single MH 175w or 250w work for a 24x24x12 frag tank?

I know the Lumenarc III mini's with SE 250w's that I have on my 120 are designed to light a 24x24 area...so I guess it would depend on the reflector...Lumenarc also makes the Mini Stealth which is their III mini...but with a nice black outside cover...they have great coverage in each 1/2 of the 120...

Yes, depending on the pendant and the height. Not sure what you are looking for but if I were to do it over again I think I would go with a LumenMax2 pendant and the 250w Radium 20k bulb. At 12" above the tank that should give you good par and coverage with excellent coverage. Could go 175w DE Iwaski 14k bulb to save some $ but not as much blue.

I bought the lumenMax3 DE's and I am just knocked out on how great the look and growth punch of my 250 phoenix DE bulbs on both 90's respectively. Using their blue ballast as well. I have them hanging 12 inches from the water and corals rock top to bottom in water column.
