Sorry I'm screwed up. Would this work as a reactor for ozone? I could just put this in my sump. what do you think?

This is a skimmer for removeing disolved solids. The purpose of the sump is to put equipment like this in there for less main tank clutter.

Im sure it could work, but read Randy Holmes articles about ozone, he used some long lenghts of coiled tubing, said it worked great.

I'm not a fan of using skimmers because they have high flow and low contact times. That reduces the effectiveness of the ozone. Still, many folks use them and have acceptable results. I strongly prefer to pass both the air and water over carbon, and that is a bit harder with the high flows of both that a skimmer may have.

I use Marine Technical concepts ozone reactor with carbon being used at exit of both air and water. Not cheap, but nice and ozone safe.
