OK. I installed one set of mh lights tonight on my right side of the tank. I can't believe how much of a difference they make. The left side is cf lights. I really can't explain the difference. You would have to see for yourself. Incredible.

45 minutes after installer MH lights. This thing was brown with cf lights. Now it is going green.

Proud to see the SPS is coloring up for you. Youll see a world of difference in a few weeks. A suggestion I would give you though, whatever corals you have up towards the top of you tank I would move down towards the bottom and move them a little higher week by week to aclimate them to your new lights. Hope this helps.

Not sure yet. Those lights put out a heck of alot of heat. The top of my acrylic tank and canopy is incredibly hot. I am afraid it is going to start warping. I am gong to wire up a canopy fan to see if it will cool it down a little. I just don't want to damage my tank or start a fire in my canopy.
I did't put the ballasts in the garage yet. Wanted to hook them up first to make sure they are going to work.

I did. Still very hot. Hopefully the fans will fix this issue.

the fans should make a world of difference. I have 4 running in my hood with my vho's. jsut make sure you have them sucking the hot air out not blowing air in. it will discipate the heat better like that.
