wrasse compatibility

Will a male clown (tri-color) fairy wrasse and a male flasher wrasse (carpenter or mcosker) peacefully co-exist?

IMO&IME, probably not; except in a very large tank. A couple females of each species may make your odds better; unfortunately they're hard to find. Divers get more $ for the males. I've never kept a Tri-Color; but did have a Scotts fairy kill a McCosker several years ago.

I have kept a tri color and a blue flasher together, and had no poblems. But it probobly depends on the fish.

It is also dependent on when they are put in the tank. If they go in together, they're more likely to coexist than if you have one that's already settled in the tank. And, if one is more likely than the other to be aggressive, it's even worse. I'd think that you'd be taking a fair sized gamble. If it were the other way around and the Flasher were in there first, it'd be a bigger likelihood that they'd coexist.
