So the LFS had this labeled as a Solar Wrasse. It's definitely not a male solar, is it a female solar or another? Picture doesn't do him/her any justice though. Can't wait till they are done with QT

It is a male Cirrhilabrus cf. cyanopleura, Bali red headed wrasse or ruby headed wrasse. It has been sold as a female solorensis for years.

^ what are the signs in telling apart a male C. cyanopleura and a female solorensis?

I have one which was sold to me as a female, but it's been about 8 months without a transition, so I'm thinking it's a male instead.

Thanks!

Vibrancy of colors, male C. cf. cyanopleura are much brighter, have color and pattern in the dorsal, color in the caudal, and longer, colored ventral fins.
