Wrasse - pairs or groups?

I'm wanting to add a group of 3 reef safe wrasses. What's the male/female ratio recommendations? Would a pair do better than 3? How about 3 from different families?

Looking at the flasher or fairy wrasses. I currently have ocellaris clown, and orchid dottyback.

I personally think a single male would do better with a harem of females like in the wild..

In my limited experience, I haven't had luck with the whole harem thing with wrasses long term. I'm sticking to single species specimens, from now on.

+1... IME, most wrasses seem to turn male regardless of pairs or harems.
I have almost 30 wrasses in my 450g DT
