Wrasse reef safe? Help.

So i have recently noticed Flatworms in my tank. Small population but something i want to stay on top of. I will be manually removing and treating with FWE until i can aquire a wrasse.
I wanted to stay away from 6, 4 line as the agression and some of the fish i want may not get along. (Cardinals, clowns, firefish) and i would need to introduce it last. I was planning on yhe Pink Streaked but my LFS rarely gets them in and dont want to pay 80 fron Bluezoo. Any other nano approved reef safe wrasses known to eat flat worms, Pygmy? My setup is 36g BowFront DT. With 29g DIY Sump with 10g fuge section in the works.

Tamarin stays on the small side...def don't go clown/coris or yellow they get larger...Hoevens is a nice fish but might get borderline re size for 36g.
My 6-line carpet surfed but he never gave me any trouble - that would prob be the most compact choice

I don't know if they target flatworms specifically or not, but a Possum Wrasse would be perfect for that tank. They hunt all day long for pods, so it wouldn't surprise me if the would eat them.

Tamarin? They're one of the hardest fish to keep in this hobby.

I would recommend a possum wrasse, but thats about it in that size tank...

I went with the Pink Streaked Wrasse and couldn't be happier. One of my favorite fish....always on the hunt, darting in and and of the rocks, and a bit cryptic. Zero on the aggression scale. I got mine from Live Aquaria....and paid around 45 bucks.

Yeah that is definitely my first choice but living in canada that 45 for the fish and another 40 to ship. So it makes buying online a bit ridiculous from the sates. I have found a select few that ship/are to/in Canada but none of them have it in stock seems to be a rather hard fish to come by it would be a fish i could add next though. I will do research on the possum. I mainly wanted the Pink Streak as i thought it looked the coolest of the Nano wrasses with none of the agression. Maybe ill just treat and hold out for what i really want.

I never had any trouble with the 1 i have but i have a lot of LR to support their hunting,i got 6 differant wrasse....I think maybe the time zone differance leads to more difficulty that side.

A six line or malenarus is fine. Just make sure you got like 2-3 inches of sand for them. I would get a malenarus because sixlines are known to be asshats sometimes. There hit or miss.

I would not try a melanurus wrasse in a 29g. They get quite large and can be iffy with clean up crew. I had one for years in my 65g that was amazing. He got along with everyone and only picked at snails occasionally, but when he passed I got another one that was a nightmare. He killed one of my fish and was well on his way to wiping out my cleanup crew before I caught him and took him to my LFS (with full disclosure that he was a jerk).

I would be inclined to try the pink-streaked wrasse. They are in the same family as the six line wrasse so may eat the flatworms but have a more passive temperament.

Yeah i will be manually removing and treating until i can get my hands on a pink streaked...if i did get the six line i would need to add all my other fish first and then hope hes not a dink. Would rather not risk it. Specially when i spend 2 months qting all my fish before i add them to much time and effort to take the risk he may kill something.

No love for Wetmorella tanaka or albofasciata? Both are great fish, stay small, are peaceful and do a great job cleaning house. They sleep in crevices in LR and don't require a DSB.
I bought my W. tanaka for $35. It was labeled as W. albofasciata.
Anyway, you can't go wrong with the pink-streaked, I just can't help but spread the word about the possum wrasse family.

Yes this was the other wrasse I was potentially looking at i will ask my LFS what is more easily obtainable. And hope they help control the flatworms

Fish in the Pseudocheilinus genus ("lined") are known to be some of the most aggressive of the Wrasses, once for ounce. I don't have any personal experience with the one in question, but if it is anything like it's cousins, I would not recommend it.

Don't sweat it....it happens. The pink streaked wrasse is truly a great fish for reef tank. I can watch my tank for an hour, but will always want to see where the wrasse is...and what he is doing. It's the fish with a purpose!
