wrasse + sexy + hawk

will a cleaner wrasse or hawkfish pick on sexy shrimps? or any shrimp?

Hawkfish will eat shrimp. Since sexy shrimp are small, I wouldn't think of chancing them with one.

I think it depends on the wrasse type. I had a sixline wrasse which killed 2 small peppermint shrimp (they were about the size of sexy shrimp).

What species of wrasse are you interested in? I could look it up in one of my books and let you what it says.

i've wanted a cleaner wrasse ever since i started my tank. now that i have a yellow tang, i want it more than ever.

My reference is "Marine Fishes" by Scott W Michael, which is an excelent book.

Cleaner wrasses (Lambroides spp.) are not noted to eat shrimps, but they are listed as very difficult to keep in the aquarium due to difficulty in feeding.

Yeah cleaner wrasse usually don't last long.
I havent even seen any f/s for a long time.

If you want it for cleaning the little gobies are a better choice or a cleaner shrimp. I thought the sexies were cleaners also.
