Wrasse with Something Like a White Pimple

I have a red breasted wrasse that has what looks like a white pimple on his side fin close to where it attaches to the body.

it started the other day when I notice what looked a little like white mucus. now it looks like Whitehead Pimple ready to pop.

This fish has been in my display for around 3 weeks now. I had him in QT for 6 weeks and treated with prazipro and then cupramine.

It is hard to see from the picture.

Anyone have any ideas? The pimple got bigger and then last night looked like it popped.

This is a better pic from the other day:

I do not think it is a parasite. Maybe fungus or bacteria?

My ammonia and nitrites are zero. Nitrates around 40ppm. PH around 8.2, temp around 78.

I just started using BRS Bio-pellets on Friday, but this was there before that.

Fish eats fine and seems to be swimming fine. No flashing.

Last week the puffer took a bite out of the tale fin, but it is growing back and the fish found a better sleeping place in the tank.

thanks,

Mike

looks like round one ich to me.(bound to get MUCH worse if it is).. But others may be able to tell you more definitively

I hope it is not ich, but have cupramine handy if needed.

I did have ich in the tank last fall and treated a month of cupramine and luckily have not seen anything since.

For the wrasse in the picture, I had him QT for 6 weeks and gave a week of prazipro and 4 weeks of cupramine.

Last night it looked like the center of the pimple popped, but there was still white around the center that look like it popped. Almost like a pin hole in it. Wondering if it scratch it off during feeding (they get a little wild).

The fish has been in the tank for around 3.5 weeks. Around a week after I put him in, it looked like some scales were falling off. I chatted with seachem tech support and they thought it was just the fish bruising the scales on some rock. It stopped progressing and scales look better.

Here is a post on that one. Not sure if they are related.

Looks like could be Lymphocytis, but I am no expert. Lymphocytis is viral and apparently due to stress.

Keep an eye on him. :0 I have lost two wrasses due to unknown causes and it breaks my heart.
