I would like either a trio of flasher or pair of fairy wrasses for the 75 Gal tank I just set-up. I keep changing my mind on what to get so. I'm here for a little help. what are the pros and cons of my short list:

Pair of Flame or
Trio of McCoskers or
Pair of Labouti or
Not fairy or flasher but,
Pair of Melanurus

I purchased the Fairy & Rainbow Wrasses and there relatives book by Rudie H Kuiter which was no help in making a decision.

Currently the only occupant is a red fire fish. In the future I plan to add a Tail spot or Starry Blenny. The other fish I'm indecisive about are Bluespot Jaw fish, Rainfords Goby, and Blue Assessor.

The tank is covered with 1/4 mesh so I'm good with jumpers. Does any one have other suggestions?

Carpenters flasher wrasse is still one of my favs.
i have a trio of lubbocks fairys now, you really can't go wrong with any wrasses.

Melanurus my fave out of your list. Still trying to figure out if they can be trio'd.

Isn't a 75 too small for flame or Labouti wrasse pair? I see 30 Gal to 90 Gal depending on the web site as the min for these two species. My first choice would be a pair of Flame wrasses. I'm kind of leaning toward the McCosker trio because of tank size. Do you see any conflicts with the other stock choices? As far as coral go it will be a LPS dominated tank with a few ric's and zoa's for variety.

the trio would be nice for that size of tank but i am sure a pair of flames would be fine also...you are going to need a top on your tank to keep them from jumping out and if you keep the flashers nothing larger than 1/4 netting becuase they will get through....i love laboutei as well i kept a male for some time until i traded it for a eightline flasher
