Wrasses in bb and reef safe

Any wrasse is a jumper. Good idea to not have more than one male of the same genus. females will eventually turn male.

^^^What R1ant04 said. No females, that almost always ends up as multiple males and doesn't end well. Wrasses don't pair up and those genera almost always turn to male in our aquariums.

I'd add the Wetmorella genus and the Pseudocheilinops genus as well.

I would also add that if you choose a Pseudocheilinus wrasse it should be your only wrasse. That whole genus most often dosen't tolerate other wrasses even in good size tanks.

It will also be a good idea to have a container of sand for burrowing. This depends on the type of wrasse you get but wouldn't hurt. And you could hide it behind rock work if that's a concern.

None of the genera listed above are sand sleepers. They sleep in the rock work and generate a mucous cocoon.

The ones that need sand are Halichoeres, Anampses and Macrpharyngodon.

Do you have any pictures of the ones that don't need sand
Here a few of mine but if you go to Live Aquaria/Blue Zoo/etc. you can view a lot more and choose the ones you like

Yes, understood. It was more of a generic comment about wrasses... just in case.

You've got some terrific looking wrasses. I've always been a huge fan of the Labouti especially.

Gotcha! I agree with you about the Labouti, definitely underappreciated.
